About SBL

The Society of Biblical Literature is the oldest and largest international scholarly membership organization in the field of biblical studies. Founded in 1880, the Society has grown to over 8,500 international members including teachers, students, religious leaders and individuals from all walks of life who share a mutual interest in the critical investigation of the Bible.

Participation
Limited to two appearance total. Presiding at a session counts as an appearance.

Membership
SBL membership is normally required at the time of a proposal. If you are not a member and wish to propose a paper, please use the non-member paper proposal form

Registration
Participants must be registered for the meeting by February 15th or risk being removed from the program.
