The world's largest exhibit of books and digital resources for biblical studies is on display at the congress. At this meeting, scholars benefit from sessions on religion, philosophy, ethics, and diverse religious traditions.

The 2008 Annual Meeting is in Boston from November 21-25 at the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street.

Proposing a New Program Unit

The SBL Program Committee encourages members to propose new program units related to texts or areas of interest that are not represented on the Annual Meeting program. 

A check list of required items is available here. 

New unit proposals are reviewed at  within the SBL office for completeness in relation to the check list and then  by the Program Committee as a whole. Proposals should include the items on the check list and should describe the relationship of the proposed new unit to currently existing units. Specific program plans, including projected presenters and presentation titles, should be included.
