The Society of Biblical Literature has partnered with Logos Research Systems to make all 11 issues of CRBR (1988-1998) available in a fully searchable electronic form. Critical Review of Books in Religion is the precursor to the SBL's Review of Biblical Literature (http://www.bookreviews.org). Published through a cooperative effort of the Journal of Biblical Literature and the Journal of the American Academy of Religion, each of the volumes contain a handful of lengthy review articles, between 150 and 300 brief (1-3 page) book reviews organized by subject, and a listing of translations, new editions and reference works. The final volume in the series contains review articles only.

If you would like the complete run of CRBR in electronic form, go to http://www.logos.com/crbr to read more about this opportunity and to place a prepublication order. For $69.95 you can ensure years of immediate access to a wealth of book reviews. Book reviews are one of the most helpful tools available when doing serious research. What better way to get a quick overview of a work, a research topic, or even a subfield, than to skim through book reviews? Quality book reviews, written by knowledgeable reviewers, take into consideration other literature in the field and thus help make connections between ideas, authors, lines of research, and even related disciplines.

Continued development of this product depends on the placement of a minimum number of prepublication orders, so cast your vote for the electronic CRBR today. For additional information, contact Bob Buller Bob.Buller@sbl-site.org at the Society of Biblical Literature.
