Logos Invites Proposals for $100,000 Prize Logos Bible Software has set aside $100,000 to promote the development of electronic resources facilitate Bible study and scholarly research in Biblical languages. New projects and existing ones that are designed for electronic delivery are the special targets of this funding. Possible projects include: - Morphological or syntactic analysis of ancient texts.
- Revision of classic reference works.
- Linguistic analysis of texts.
- Electronic transcription of previously unavailable texts.
- Creation of audio or multimedia resources related to Biblical texts.
- New interlinear translations of ancient texts.
- Genre or topic indexing of primary texts.
- Alignments of ancient texts and modern translations.
- New indices, collations, or bibliographies of specialized data.
Applications are being accepted by Logos through November 1, 2004 and results will be announced at the Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX on November 20th, 2004.
