Blake Couey is Associate Professor of Religion at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. He teaches in the area of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, and his primary research interests are biblical Hebrew poetry and prophetic literature. He is the author of Reading the Poetry of First Isaiah: The Most Perfect Model of the Prophetic Poetry (Oxford University Press, 2015) and co-editor (with Elaine James) of Biblical Poetry and the Art of Close Reading (Cambridge University Press, 2017).
