Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls

Program Unit Type: Section
Accepting Papers? Yes

Call For Papers: The unit welcomes papers for two sessions. One is open to any topic related to Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The second is a joint session between the Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls section and the Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha section. This section welcomes papers that explore any aspect of the Apocrypha in the traditional sense (the seven Deuterocanonicals such as Tobit and ben Sira) or as more broadly defined to show how these texts illumine the community at Qumran or writings of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Papers might also consider the nature of authoritative texts and issues pertaining to canon in light of Apocrypha that have been found among the Scrolls.
