Academia Biblica (now discontinued) published doctoral dissertations on topics related to biblical studies, including questions of language, literature, history, archaeology, society, history of thought, and cognate studies. Its purpose was to bring distinguished new works of academic scholarship into the scholarly forum, to provide emerging scholars an opportunity for publishing their dissertations, and to offer models for subsequent dissertations.
