The program for the 2001 SBL International Meeting, to be held in Rome, Italy, 8-12 July, is nearly complete. We anticipate posting this program to the SBL web-site by mid-April. Some of the highlights of this program will include sessions on Biblical Theology (James Barr, Nicolas Wolterstorf and Benjamin Sommer), the Jews in Rome and a Workshop on the Catacombs, organized by L.Rutgers, and a series of sessions organized around themes related to Early Christianity in the city of Rome. Fee-based tours and other special events are planned. Registration and hotel information is now available on the SBL web-site.
