A pressing issue in humanities departments across the country is the status and role of Non-tenure stream teachers (or NTS, as opposed to Tenured or Tenure Stream-T/TS.) The Coalition on the Academic Workforce studies these trends and is working to address the issues and imbalances that challenge humanities departments today.
